A graduate of Dokuz Eylül University's Business Administration Department, Zeynep Kaptan Başar began her professional career in 2006. In 2011, she served as the Training Manager at Ayaydın Miroglio Group, where she shared her expertise in internal sales and personal development through training programs. Throughout her career, Başar has successfully managed HR excellence and retail growth processes in e-commerce and retail companies.

Samsung Electronics Türkiye Samsung Electronics Türkiye has announced Jeff Jo as its new president, succeeding Philip Choi. Jeff Jo began his career with Samsung Electronics in 1997 at the corporate relations department in South Korea's headquarters. He progressed within the company, joining the Mobile External Sales division in 2004. Jo demonstrated successful performance as the Mobile Business Unit Manager in Thailand in 2009 and later in Australia in 2014. In 2017, he was appointed as President of Mobile Retail Operations, where he enhanced the company's mobile product operations and customer experience in the retail sector. His leadership continued to flourish when he was appointed President of Samsung Electronics in Canada in 2019, contributing significantly to enhancing the company's effectiveness and market share in the North American market. In 2021, Jo assumed the role of President of the Mobile Experience Retail Group before his recent appointment as President of Samsung Electronics Türkiye on December 11, 2023.
Salvador-Lopez-Oliva
Roca Türkiye Salvador Lopez Oliva, who has been serving as the General Manager of Roca Türkiye since 2016, has been appointed to also oversee the Country Management of Roca in the Middle East. Continuing in his role as General Manager of Roca Türkiye, Oliva will now manage regional strategies in both Türkiye and the Middle East. Salvador Lopez Oliva graduated from Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya in Industrial Engineering in 1999. He furthered his education with an MBA from Esade between 1999 and 2001, and completed programs in Finance, Operations, Marketing, and IT at the National University of Singapore. With nearly 25 years of experience in the bathroom and kitchen sector, Lopez Oliva has been leading Roca Türkiye as General Manager since 2016. As of December 1, 2023, he has also taken on the role of Country Manager for Roca in the Middle East.

Avon International Kristof Neirynck has been appointed as the new CEO of Avon International. He will assume his new role starting January 1, 2024. Angela Cretu, who handed over the CEO position to Neirynck, will continue to contribute to Avon in an advisory capacity.

Yapı Kredi Yapı Kredi has announced a new appointment in its senior management team. According to the bank's statement, Kaan Şakul, Deputy General Manager of Corporate Banking, will retire effective July 1. Mehmet Erkan Akbulut, currently serving as Deputy General Manager of Loans, will assume his position starting July 2.

Bayer Colin Tyrer has been appointed as the Country Group Head for Bayer Pharmaceuticals in Türkiye and Iran. He assumed this role in November 2023, taking over from Per Edlund, who had held the position since 2022. Previously, Colin Tyrer served as the Country Group Head for South, East, and West Africa (SEWA) in the EMEA 2 region at Bayer. A graduate of the University of Manchester Faculty of Science and Engineering, Colin Tyrer joined Bayer in 2012. With 11 years of experience at Bayer, he has held various positions in the United Kingdom, Australia, Ireland, and Southeast and West Africa regions before assuming his current role in Türkiye and Iran.

Prometeon Uğur Aydın has been appointed as the Sales Director for Prometeon in Türkiye, Russia, and the CIS region. Throughout his career, Aydın has worked at international firms in the tire sector, as well as at Vestel and Turkcell. He began his role at Prometeon in 2016 as the Regional Sales Manager for Adana, where his leadership and success significantly contributed to Prometeon becoming the market leader in Türkiye under a single brand and enhancing sales performance. In his new position, Aydın aims to further strengthen the company's position in these strategic markets.

Prometeon Türkiye Altuğ Kesim has been promoted to the position of Information and Communication Technologies Director for Prometeon in Türkiye and AFME (Africa, Middle East). He began his career at Pirelli in 2004 and has since taken on various roles in domestic and international projects. Kesim has been actively involved in Prometeon's technological transformation since 2018, assuming significant responsibilities in the automation and digitalization of production processes. In his new role, Altuğ Kesim will continue to lead Prometeon Türkiye's technological structure and digital transformation efforts.

HSBC Türkiye Cem Muratoğlu, with over 30 years of experience in the industry, has been appointed as Deputy General Manager responsible for Retail Banking and Wealth Management at HSBC Türkiye, effective January 5, 2024. He is a graduate of Middle East Technical University in Petroleum Engineering and holds a master's degree in Business Administration from Bilkent University. Additionally, Muratoğlu has completed the Senior Executive Program at Harvard Business School. Throughout his career, Muratoğlu has held senior positions in strategy, investor relations, corporate banking, and retail banking at various domestic and international banks.

Simru Sonar has been appointed as a Board Member of ÜNLÜ Menkul Değerler, a subsidiary of ÜNLÜ & Co, one of Türkiye's leading investment services and asset management groups. Simru Sonar has held strategic roles at Credit Suisse, including Head of Investment Advisory and Asset Management Division and Türkiye Regional General Manager. She will also take on the role of Board Member at ÜNLÜ Securities UK. A graduate of Middle East Technical University in Economics, Sonar began her career at Türk Eximbank in the Country Loans Department. She later worked in the Corporate Banking Division at The Chase Manhattan and held various positions in the Private Banking Division at ABN AMRO.
